Guided practices:

passing clouds

Guided practices help us to pause, rest, focus and deeply experience the present moment of our life. They remind us to come back to ourselves over and over, so that resting our presence in our body becomes a habit.

These recordings are offered freely, and donations really help make them possible. If you’d like to make a donation to support this work, you can donate via Stripe (white button) or via Paypal (blue button).

passing clouds practice

In this guided practice, we move with ‘passing clouds’ for several minutes and then enjoy the stillness that follows. If your arms would like to rest at any point during the movement part, please allow them to settle and take their ease.

The movement draws from tai chi: we allow one hand to be pulled over to the opposite hip, then to rise up and draw across in front of our face. We observe the palm of our hand as it moves past and then sinks down to rest, as the other hand begins its movement over to the opposite hip and upwards. Allowing our hands to be cloud-like (the practice is sometimes called ‘cloud-like hands’!), we rest in a gentle flow of coming and going.

May it offer release, space and stillness when you need it.
